Summer cultural activities package “Full immersion into culture”

This is the 2-week summer cultural activities package that allows you to discover the most famous landmarks of Ekaterinburg and the Ural mountains. You will improve your language skills during group or individual classes and enjoy cultural and active summer program.

The excursion program is the supplement to the Russian language course and usually is organized after lunch.

The basic excursion summer program in Ekaterinburg.

Day 1: City- tour, 3 h

You will see historical centre of Yekaterinburg, the monument of its fathers-founders, the city plan, Church -on-the-blood -the most famous cathedral, you will walk along the old streets that preserve the style of the XIX century with merchants mansions, learn about the theatrical and literary life of Yekaterinburg of XIX – XX centuries, observe the buildings of Soviet period in the constructivism style and see the view of modern city.

Day 2: Border between Europe and Asia, Monastery Ganina Yama, 3,5-4h

The Border between Europe and Asia is the obelisk that was set up in a unique geographical place where the natural border between Europe and Asia crosses. It is situated in 17 km from the city. The western part of monument was brought from the very western part of the continent, and the eastern part of monument was brought from the very eastern part of the continent. 

Ganina Yama is an operating men monastery that was built at the place where the Royal family  was buried after their cruel murder. It is a complex of 7 wooden temples in Russian style according to the number of Royal family members.

Day 3:  Eltzin centre, 2h

Museum uses the latest technologies to tell about the life of the first Russian President and his political biography. The Central exposition is “Seven days that changed Russia” . It describes the era of the 90’s based on original documents and materials and tell about the difficult period of our country.

Day 4: Food master-class, 2h

We offer 2 options of food master – class: preparing “pelmeny” or decorating the ural gingerbread

During the “pelmeny” master-class in local cafe you will not only learn how to cook pelmeny, but discover traditional Russian food and of course you will taste it! If you really want to know Russian culture and traditions –this is the way! 

Day 5: Free time. It is possible to book tickets to the theatre, etc.

Day 6: Azov mountain 

Azov mountain is a complex of mountains 589 meters high. From the top of the highest rock you will find a pictures view of the Ural mountains and nearest towns. You will enjoy hiking, breath fresh air and relax among the nature.

Day 7: Free time. It is possible to book tickets to the theatre or additional excursions.

Day 8: Military or Auto Museum in Verkhnaya Pyshma, 4h

The Autocars Museum has the largest collection of retro cars and motorcycles in Russia. You will learn the 130-year history of road transport in our country and the world. The Museum’s collection includes about 160 cars and almost as many units of Moto and Bicycle equipment. Visitors can see the real masterpieces of the world automotive industry from the early 1900s to the end of the XX century.

Military museum is one of the largest exhibition of military-technical profile in Russia. The Museum represents more than 500 pieces of military equipment, unique collections of domestic awards, uniforms. The Museum has many truly unique exhibits. The exposition of the Museum is closely connected with the history of the region, because many tanks and guns are made at the Ural factories – in Sverdlovsk, Perm, Chelyabinsk. In particular, the Museum contains basic modifications of the t-34 tank.

Day 9: Mineral museum, 2h

In the museum you will see different kinds of semi-precocious stones. Yekaterinburg is a fourth capital in Russia – there are lots of natural resources. And during the excursion you will be able to see samples.

Day 10: Food master-class, 2h

We offer 2 options of food master – class: preparing “pelmeny” or decorating the ural gingerbread.

Ural honey gingerbread is one of the oldest sweet dishes in Russia. The most important characteristic of this product is significant content of bee honey. During the master -class the craftsman tells you about the traditions, nature and history of the Urals through gingerbread! Preserving the traditions of the Urals we paint souvenir gingerbread using Ural-Siberian painting, which makes them a work of folk decorative art.

Days 11-14: Free time. It is possible to book additional excursions, tickets to the theatre, sport events, etc.

Additional excursions:

Rafting along Ural rivers: it is a relaxing swimming in the special boat called raft. During your trip you will enjoy the beauty of rocky Ural mountains, learn new things about history of the Ural or its natural landmarks, take a rest at riverside stays, taste a camping food, prepared at the campfire, swim, sunburn, etc. There are two options of rafting: 1-day and 2- days with night in camping tents. 

Hiking in Natural park Deer Stream:  during the 6 km-route you will see the main landmarks of the park: rock cliffs with a view of the river, tercentenary pines, the caves and the only Russian sculpture “Angel of Single Hope”, “Drinking horse” and others. You will enjoy the path, the views from viewpoints and lunch of russian food at the end.

The price includes transport, English speaking guide, entrance tickets, excursion in museum.

We can improve the excursion program according to your design: add or replace some excursion, change the number of days, enlarge the number of people in group.
